Dear Parents,
In our ongoing commitment to bring highly qualified staff to our team who are passionate about meeting the unique needs of our students, we are excited to announce that Mrs. Naomi Chinn will be our new Middle School Guidance Counselor. Over this past school year, Mrs. Chinn has served as our interim counselor and we are pleased she will be taking on the role permanently.
Over this past year Mrs. Chinn has spent time observing and interacting with the students in and out of the classroom. She has assisted with the davening groups, in the resource department, and spent time with the students during their lunch and specials, in an effort to better understand the varying needs of the students.
In partnership with the Middle School Administrative team, Mrs. Chinn is most excited about developing programs to support our students socially, emotionally, and academically.
Mrs. Chinn is an alumnus of Berman Hebrew Academy. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women in 2008 and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Southern California’s School of Social Work in 2016.
Mrs. Chinn and her husband, Dr. Moshe Chinn, are the proud parents of four current Berman students, who will be in each of our divisions next year. Mrs. Chinn is an avid reader and enjoys spending time with her family, including the family dog, Maggie. Please join us in welcoming Mrs. Chinn to the Middle School team.
